An engagement session is two hours, one or two locations, and no schedule to keep. Most couples arrive a little nervous about being photographed and leave wondering why they worried.
That's most of the point. By your wedding day you'll have already done this once, and you'll know what it feels like when I'm working nearby. Couples who've had a session are noticeably more relaxed in front of the camera on the day itself, and it shows in the photographs.
I've photographed engagements at Bethesda Fountain and the Literary Walk in Central Park, along Brooklyn Bridge Park with the skyline behind, in Prospect Park, at Battery Park, and well outside the city when a couple has somewhere that means something to them. If you have a place with a story attached, that's usually the better choice.
Sessions are $400 for couples with a wedding collection booked.
Tell me your date, and I'll reply the same day.
