Courtney and Zach were married at St. Patrick's Cathedral on Fifth Avenue, with their reception at The Yale Club on Vanderbilt Avenue. A full Mass at St. Patrick's is one of the more demanding rooms in New York to photograph. The nave runs over a hundred feet, the light is whatever the clerestory windows give you that afternoon, and the cathedral has firm rules about where a photographer may stand. I've worked there more times than I can count, so I know those positions before the processional starts. The Yale Club afterward is the opposite challenge in the best way: dark wood, warm low light, and a room built for people rather than for pictures.
